Hillary VP Talk Gains Momentum

With Hillary Clinton’s standings in the democratic primaries not looking so hot, it might be time for her to consider Vice President.

There has been extensive chatter by several top sources about Hillary running as VP on Obama’s ticket.

On “Good Morning America”, chief Washington correspondent, George Stephanopoulos stated, “I think it’s very much a possibility and there are others around Senator Clinton, other top Democrats, who think the strongest ticket would be a joint ticket.

“There are intermediaries discussing this very scenario.”

However, Newsmax poses the real question: “Would Obama want Clinton on the ticket?”

Senator Obama is probably reluctant to do this, given the feelings coming out of this campaign right now,” Stephanopoulos said.

On the other side of the coin, Clinton might focus on the 2012 presidency. Many believe she will try to dethrone Obama in anyway she can. Her odds at beating McCain in the 2012 elections are extremely higher then her odds at beating a second term Obama.

James Pethokoukis of U.S. News & World Report agrees, writing in his “Capital Commerce” column that he believes Clinton “would rather make history — and maybe set herself up for 2012 if the ticket loses — than putter around the Senate.”
